The Shelton football team knocked off North Thurston Thursday night 38 to 21. The Highclimbers jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead and were up by 21 in the second quarter all on rushing touchdowns from Colton Paller. The Rams did score two TDs before halftime and the teams headed to the locker room with the score Shelton 21, North Thurston 14. In the third quarter, Shelton added a 31-yard Cody Bragg field goal and Paller had his fourth TD of the night giving the ‘Climbers a 31 to 14 lead heading into the fourth. NT scored on their first drive in the final quarter but Shelton’s Tyler Giraldes answered making the final score 38-21.

The win improves the Highclimbers’ record to 4-and-3 overall, 3-and-2 in the 3A Narrows League. It also moves Shelton ahead of the Rams in the standings.

The Highclimbers return home next Friday to face Mt. Tahoma. Next week’s homecoming game will be streamed live on MasonWebTV.com and Hood Canal Communications’ HCC.net.

Meanwhile, North Mason takes on undefeated Olympic Friday at 7:30 PM and Mary M. Knight hosts Seattle Lutheran at 1 PM Saturday.

Shelton boys’ tennis team beat Timberline 4 to 1. The Highclimbers’ singles player Cody Simon, and doubles teams of  Vernon/Krumpols, Pentony/Bogh and Hoff/Hernandez posted wins.

The Shelton girls’ soccer team was shut out by North Thurston five-nil (5-0).
The Shelton girls’ swim team beat Foss 93 to 64. The Highclimbers  the 200 medley relay, the 200 IM, the 100 free, the 100 back, the
100 breast, and the 400 free relay.
The Shelton volleyball team lost to Central Kitsap three games to none.
