
A public gathering was held at the Colonial House in downtown Shelton on Friday, January 15, 2016 to celebrate the career of Detective William Adam. Detective Adam officially retires from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on January 18, 2015 to start a new job with the Attorney General’s Office as a Senior Investigator.

Sheriff Casey Salisbury said, “The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is losing a special person with so many valued talents today; a gifted speaker, a victim’s advocate, and someone who has been on the cutting edge of community outreach.”
Recognitions for his service were presented by the Mason County Sheriff Deputies Guild, the Mason County Sheriff’s Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police Olympic Mountain Lodge #23. Detective Adam’s retirement plaque was presented by Sheriff Casey Salisbury accompanied by retired Sheriffs Bob Shepard and Steve Whybark.
Detective Adam was hired as a deputy by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on July 25, 1994. He ends his career assigned to the Detective’s Division serving as the Sex Offender Coordinator and also shared duties as a Public Information Officer and Staff Chaplain.
