The North Mason basketball teams participated in the Crosspoint Jamboree Saturday (11/26/11). During the event, each of the seven participating teams played two ten-minute games.
The boys were first as the Bulldogs lost to Quilcene 11 to 9. They then knocked off the host team 18 to 10. Riley McKean led the boys from Belfair with 12 points against the Warriors. North Mason crashed the boards well, outrebounding their opponents 30 to 17 with eight second chance opportunities against the Rangers.
The Lady Bulldogs couldn’t overcome turnovers in their games committing 37 miscues in the 20 minutes they played. The girls from Belfair lost to Klahowya 16 to 7 and fell to Olympic 14 to 11.
The North Mason boys open the season Tuesday night hosting Peninsula while the Lady Bulldogs start the season with Olympic League play next Friday when they host North Kitsap.
