A lot draw has decided who wins the Southside School Board Position No. 1 seat. Incumbent Don Robbins and challenger S. Rachel Hansen were locked up at 293 votes each after ballots from the November 8th General Election were counted. Election officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office conducted a mandatory recount which again showed a tie.
Officials then conducted a lot draw and Don Robbins will retain his seat. The recount and lot draw were certified Tuesday morning (12/6/11).
