The Mary M. Knight basketball teams are hosting opening round games in the Class 1B District IV Tournament and their opponents have officially been announced.
The Lady Owls, the No. 2 team from the Coastal League, host Seton Catholic, the No. 3 team from the Columbia Valley League, Thursday night at 7 PM and MasonWebTV.com will carry the game. This is a loser out game with the winner playing Oakville or King’s Way Christian at 5 PM February 18 at Montesano High School in another loser out game. This year, District IV is only sending two girls’ teams to State.
The boys from Matlock are No. 1 in the Coastal League and host Columbia Valley No. 4, Seton Catholic, at 7 PM Saturday night and MasonWebTV.com will also carry the game. This is also a loser out game with the winner facing Oakville or Columbia Adventist at 3:30 PM February 18 in Montesano but the second round in the boys’ is double elimination as District IV is sending three boys’ teams to State this year.
