Woman Injured in Crash North of Allyn Dies

The State Patrol reports that the 20-year-old Bremerton woman injured in Sunday’s single-vehicle crash north of Allyn has died. Vanessa M. Lopez was flown to Harborview Medical Center after the 6 PM crash near Homestead Drive. Lopez died at the Seattle hospital Wednesday.

Lopez was driving a 2005 Chrysler Sebring southbound on Highway 3 about 6:15 PM Sunday. At milepost 21.9, Lopez lost control of the car. It crossed the northbound lane and struck a tree. The highway was blocked for more than three and a half hours.

There was a six-month old baby in the car who was not injured.
