Free Christmas Tree Recycling

Mason County announces free Christmas tree recycling available at the following locations during January 2017:

Shelton Transfer Station located at 501 West Eells Hill Road in Shelton, business hours are Monday through Saturday from 8am to 4pm
Belfair Solid Waste Drop Off Facility located at 2001 NE Sand Hill Road in Belfair, business hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4pm

Residential utility customers of the City of Shelton may place their Christmas trees at their regular garbage pick-up location, between Mondays, January 9th and Friday, January 13th.

Mason County Garbage and Recycling will pick up Christmas trees at customers’ regular pick-up site. All trees must be cut into thirds and an additional pick-up fee between $4.14 and $4.42 will apply.

Brady Trucking, Shelton, 360-426-0700

Please note that all trees dropped off for free recycling at these facilities must be free of tinsel, decorations, and flocking. Wreaths and garlands will not be accepted for free recycling since these items contain wires and can therefore not be recycled.
