Two school districts in Mason County (Shelton and Pioneer) have set make up dates for days missed due to weather.
The Shelton School District has scheduled Friday, January 27th as a snow make up day for students and staff. Students will attend school for half of the day on the 27th and will be released 3 hours early. School staff will use the remaining portion of the day for training. The second semester will start on Friday the 27th. The District decided to capitalize on this available day as a make-up day rather than extend the school year in June.
The Pioneer School Board approved February 21st and May 26th as snow make up days.
