Woman Found Dead on Beach in Lilliwaup

The Mason County Coroner has released the name of a woman who was found dead on a Hood Canal beach, Monday, February 6 at 4:40 PM.

Mason County Coroner Wes Stockwell identified the deceased woman as Laura Renee Jackson, age 65, from Port Angeles.

Jackson had been reported missing on Saturday, February 4 after her vehicle was found abandoned alongside Highway 101. Her body was located Monday afternoon at 40640 N. U.S. Highway 101, Lilliwaup.

The Mason County Sheriff is handling the investigation.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, February 7.
