The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a body on a Forest Service Road near the Lena Lake trail head. The remains were discovered about 2 PM Wednesday on Forest Service Road 2572.
The Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team was called in to recover the body in steep terrain. The body is that of a white woman. Identification not confirmed. Cause of death to be determined by an autopsy which is scheduled for Friday. No other details have been released.
