Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is hosting an Upcycled! Block Party. This family-friendly event is on September 23, 10 am – 3 pm, in the parking lot of our Belfair Habitat Store, 22653 State Rt 3. The party theme is upcycling. There will be live music, raffles, activities for kids, food, and tons of information on how to upcycle.
Upcycling is when you take something old and use it to make something completely different and new. It’s a great way to learn how to reuse resources. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day. Raffle tickets are being sold now at the Shelton and Belfair Habitat Stores for a newly constructed garden shed! At the party, we will have a host of other fun raffle prizes, don’t miss it! There will also be booths for local non-profits, vendors and area agencies. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the fun!
Donations of items for our raffles are sought, as are volunteers willing to share upcycling information with the crowd. For more information, call the Habitat for Humanity office in Shelton at 360-426-8134. Get ready to join us for an afternoon of fun and creativity!
