[VIDEO] Election officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office counted 13,383 ballots from the General Election. Mason County Auditor Paddy McGuire read the initial results Tuesday night.

According to McGuire, they have several thousand ballots still to count.

More results will be released Wednesday afternoon.

Here are the unofficial results:

James Boad leads George Blush for Shelton City Council Member No. 1. Boad has 557 votes (53.05%) to Blush’s 481 (45.91%). This race has 12 write-ins and 184 undervotes,

Incumbent Kathy McDowell leads Dean Jewett for Shelton City Council Member No. 2 with 615 votes (55.56%) to Jewett’s 480 (43.36%). There were 12 write-ins, 1 overvote and 126 undervotes in this race.

In Mason County Fire District 4, incumbent Gary Plews leads David Frost 702 votes (58.16%) to 466 (38.61%) for Commissioner Position No. 3. This race has 39 write-ins, 5 overvotes, and 437 undervotes.

In Mason County Fire District 5 (Central Mason Fire & EMS), Steve Pierce has a large lead on incumbent Del Griffey for Commissioner Position No. 3. Pierce has 1,962 votes (57.03%) to Griffey’s 1,421 (41.31%). There are 57 write-ins, 9 overvotes, and 833 undervotes.

In Mason County Fire District 6 (Union), Mike Sheetz leads Michelle Ozaki 409 votes (68.97%) to 181 (30.52%) for Commissioner Position No. 2. This race has 3 write-ins and 39 undervotes.

North Mason Regional Fire Authority’s $10 Million bond for a new headquarters and Emergency Management Campus is passing with 62.94% approval. That’s 1,418 voting “yes” and 835 voting “no”.

Mason County Fire District 18’s EMS Levy is passing with 68.93% approval. That’s 335 voting “yes” and 151 voting “no”.

In the Southside School District, John E. Johnson leads Don Robbins by 14 votes – 227 to 213 – for Director Position No. 1. Lauri Cox has an 18-vote lead on Brandon Homan – 228 to 210 – for Director Position No. 2. And Matt Jewett has a 23-vote lead on Gigi Olsen – 231 to 208 – for Director Position No. 4.

For Shelton School Board Director District No. 1, incumbent Sandy Tarzwell leads Cheryl Williams 1,409 votes (50.45%) to 1,316 (47.12%). There are 68 write-ins and 867 undervotes in this race.

In the Mary M. Knight School District, Cynthia Brehmeyer (123 votes) leads Rick Johnson (87 votes) for Director District 3. And Amanda Gonzales has a 10-vote lead on Jennifer Jutson for Director Position 2. Gonzales has 100 votes (51.81%) to Jutson’s 91 (46.63%),

Pioneer School District’s Capital Levy is passing with 52.48% approval. That’s 1,482 voting “yes” and 1,342 voting “no”.

For Pioneer School Board Director Position No. 2, Janeen McLaughlin leads Susan (Soosi) Day 1,166 votes (55.58%) to 879 (41.9%) with 53 write-ins, 3 overvotes, and 785 undervotes.

Initiative 976 – $30 car tabs – is passing 55.44% of voters statewide voting “yes”. While Referendum Measure 88 is failing with 51.32% voting against.
