Officials with the Shelton School District spent two hours Thursday night discussing the District’s plan to start the 2020-2021 school with all online classes. During the virtual open forum, Superintendent and District staff explained how teachers will utilize the online K-12 platform and answered questions from parents about the “Stage A” plan.

Some of the questions related to the number of classes students will attend daily and child care for working parents. Some parents provided the District with suggestions which staff will look at incorporating as they continue to refine the plan for online education. The District is also waiting for guidance from the OSPI on how to handle attendance and standardized testing.

There is a question and answer page on the District’s website that will be updated weekly: https://www.sheltonschools.org/families/2020-21_school_year/q___a. This page also includes contact information.

Another open forum will be scheduled within the next two weeks.
