A survey to help Mason County Facilities, Parks and Trails Department update the County Parks Plan is now available. A seventeen-member Citizen Advisory Committee is helping the County Parks and Trails Department complete the update. The director of the Department, John Keates, says one crucial element of the update process is soliciting comments from citizens regarding parks and recreation issues in Mason County.

Surveys can be found at numerous locations including the Parks Office located at MCRA Park and at the County Building #1. The survey is also available online: http://limesurvey.migcom.com/index.php?sid=16793&lang=en. There will also be two Park Plan Open Houses to solicit public comment. The open house meetings will be held at various locations around the county in the near future. Locations and times will be announced. Results of the survey will be analyzed at the end of April.
