The South Bend girls’ basketball team led from the start and beat Mary M. Knight Saturday night 65 to 35.

The Lady Indians ran away with the game in the second half taking advantage of Owl turnovers and holding the girls from Matlock to two fourth quarter points. South Bend’s Makenzie Russell led all scorers with 18 points. And Sierra Cearns and Emily Sanchez had ten points each for the Indians. Mary M. Knight was led by Carlie Adsero’s nine points. South Bend improves to 5-and-1 on the season while the Lady Owls drop to 3-and-2. The Indians head to Ocosta Monday. MMK hosts Oakville on December 28th as part of a double header on MasonWebTV.com.
