A wet weather system will move across western Washington Sunday into early Tuesday. Snow levels will hover between 4000 to 5000 feet during this time period. This combined with 48-hour rainfall totals of 2 to 5 inches across the southern Olympics will lead to a rise on the Skokomish River.

Current river forecasts indicate the Skokomish River will reach minor flood stage Monday morning, crest Monday afternoon or evening, and fall below flood stage Tuesday morning. Variations in snow level or rain amounts could lead to adjustments to this forecast. We will continue to monitor the latest weather and river forecast information this weekend.
