Two people were injured in a two-car head-on collision on U.S. Highway 101 just south of Wallace Kneeland Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol says the northbound car crossed the double yellow center line about struck the southbound car head-on about 3 PM. Both vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane, blocking the highway for approximately 35 minutes.
The driver of the northbound car, a 96-year-old Shelton woman, and the driver of the southbound car, a 35-year-old Olympia man, were transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
Cause of the crash is still under investigation.
