After a week without new numbers, Mason County Public Health reported 59 new cases of COVID-19 in the County on Friday, July 30, 2021. Mason County’s website says, “The Mason County COVID-19 Status Report is updated weekly on Friday evening.” The number of cases in the last 14 days is now 80, making Mason County’s rate of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 over two weeks 123, up/down from 55 – the last rate reported on Friday, July 23, 2021.

One Mason County resident is currently hospitalized due to coronavirus.

On Tuesday, MasonWebTV Powered by HCC reported an uptick in cases but specific numbers were NOT provided at that time.

Since the pandemic began, county health officials have performed 63,198 COVID-19 tests, confirmed 2,427 cases, and report 37 county residents have died from the virus.

The Washington State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Data Dashboard says 2,939 cases have been confirmed with 103 probable cases for a total of 3,042 cases and 38 deaths.

The states’ dashboard – last updated at at 11:59 PM July 28th -says there are 43 “confirmed and probable cases in the prior two weeks” and puts Mason County’s rate of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 over two weeks at 65.5.
