Fire on Cook Plant Farm Road

Crews extinguished a fire early Friday morning in the 500 block of Cook Plant Farm Road. According to Mason County Fire District 4 Assistant Chief Greg Seals, firefighters were called to the scene about 3 AM: 4-20-12seals1

There were three people in the house when the fire started: 4-20-12seals2

Although the investigation into the cause of this blaze is continuing, initial indications are that the cause was accidental: 4-20-12seals3

More than 20 firefighters responded to the fire. Fire District 4 was assisted by engine companies from Central Mason Fire & EMS, and Mason County Fire Districts 11 and 16, and a Mason County Fire District 13 tender.
