The City of Shelton is looking to partner with non profit organizations or other government entities for grant funding under the Community Development Block Grant program. Under the CDBG, up to $1 Million could be available for a project that benefits low to moderate income house holds and focuses on public facilities, infrastructure, community centers, and micro-enterprises resulting in direct job creation. The City will select one project and jointly apply for the CDBG funds. Eligible organizations should contact the City by January 3, 2012 to express interest.
An application must be submitted by March 1. This is a competitive grant program and there is no guarantee funds will be awarded.
