A motorcyclist from Port Angeles was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after his Harley struck the rear of a car on U.S. Highway 101 near the intersection with Highway 106 Sunday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, 62-year-old John E. McFadden was northbound on 101 on a 2003 Harley Davidson behind a 2005 Chrysler Sebring. About 1:45 PM, the Sebring, driven by Ruthanne Taylor, 68 of Otis, Oregon, stopped for traffic at milepost 336. McFadden was unable to stop and collided with the rear of the Chrysler. McFadden suffered serious injuries and taken to Harborview. Taylor was not injured. Cause of the crash is still under investigation.
