The Washington State Department of Transportation has extended the closure of Highway 106 at Twanoh State Park another day and the highway will now reopen at 11 PM Tuesday, August 1st.
The road was originally scheduled to reopen by 4 AM Sunday, July 30th but Saturday WSDOT officials delayed the reopening until Monday morning saying the contractor needed more time to complete in-water work for a culvert replacement project and pave the roadway. However on Sunday the DOT postponed the reopening a second time and the highway will now reopen Tuesday night.
The road has been closed since July 10.
A signed detour will remain available via US 101 and SR 3 through Shelton.
