An SUV ran off Cole Road Monday morning and emergency crews had to use ropes and the Jaws of Life to remove the injured driver. Because of the angle of the vehicle, crews from Mason County Fire District 4 and Mason County Medic One used the ropes to stabilize the vehicle and hydraulics and cutters (Jaws of Life) to remove the SUV’s roof. The unidentified woman driver was transported to Mason General Hospital with multiple injuries. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused the SUV to run off the road.
