A 32-year-old Shelton man died after a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 at Wallace Kneeland Boulevard Thursday morning.

The Washington State Patrol reports that about 7:30 AM, a northbound SUV passed a northbound pickup truck on the right shoulder at the Wallace Kneeland interchange. The SUV then mergered into the truck and continued into southbound traffic where it struck a southbound truck. The highway was blocked for over four hours.
The driver of the SUV died while being transported to the hospital. A press memo identifies the deceased as Elliott A. Madea, 32 of Shelton.
The driver of the northbound truck, a 29-year-old Elma woman, and the driver of the southbound truck, a 67-year-old Shelton man, were not injured.
Cause of the crash is under investigation.
