Skokomish River flooding is still possible this weekend.

According to forecasters, a frontal system will bring another round of widespread lowland rain and mountain snow with snow levels rising to between 6000 and 6500 feet. Though considerably weaker than the last series of systems within the larger atmospheric river event, forecast rainfall totals from 2-3 inches with locally up to 4 inches in the Olympics combined with recent heavy rains and already saturated soils will lead to rises on streams and rivers in the Olympic river basins. The Skokomish River may rise above flood stage at Potlatch once again Saturday night or Sunday morning.
