Final Results of State Track for NM, MMK & SHS
At the Class 2A State Track and Field Championships at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma, North Mason’s Craig (CJ) Allen took the Championship in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.60 seconds, just eight-hundredths of a second short of the meet record. Allen also finished 2nd in the State in the 300 meter hurdles. Emma Berg placed 2nd in the State in the triple jump and 5th in the State in the long jump. Tommy Marsh finished 9th in the discus. Ruby Nelson placed 9th in the discus. Alicia Martin took 9th in the javelin. Emily Walsh finished 10th in the javelin. Nick Jensen was 14th in the pole vault. In the team standings, the Bulldog boys were tied with Interlake and Lakewood for 9th while the girls from Belfair were tied with Fifth for 16th place.
At the Class 1B State Track and Field Championships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Mary M. Knight’s Hannah Frost took 3rd in the State in the 800 meter run and in the discus. Linda Cook was 5th in the State in the shot put. And Nick Dierkop placed 5th in the State in the 300 meter hurdles, 8th in the State in the 110 meter hurdles, and 8th in the State in the high jump. In team scoring, the Owl girls finished 13th overall while the boys from Matlock were 22nd.
At the Class 4A State Track and Field Championships at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma, Shelton’s Indi Endicott and Bryton Rodgers finished in a 7-way tie for 7th in the pole vault. Alaura Jones was 9th in the discus.
