Win for NM Girls Hoops; Losses for NM Boys Hoops & SHS Girls Hoops
The North Mason girls’ basketball team picked up its first Olympic League win Tuesday beating Bainbridge 58 to 47. The Bulldogs held the Spartans to two points in the third quarter and built a 13-points lead. Bainbridge was able to cut the NM lead to six points in the fourth quarter but the girls from Belfair pulled away.
Adrienne “E” Tupolo led North Mason in scoring with 28 points. Taylor Maddison hit five three-pointers and finished with 18. The Bulldogs improve to 3-and-5 on the season, 1-and-5 in league play. North Mason hosts North Kitsap Thursday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
The North Mason boys’ basketball team lost to Bainbridge Tuesday 71 to 63. This was a game of runs. The Bulldogs had a seven-point lead in the first quarter. The Spartans went up eight in the second. The third quarter ended with Bainbridge up 50 to 43. However, the fourth quarter saw the Spartans inch away from the Bulldogs.
North Mason had three players score in double-digits: Andrew Littrean was high scorer with 16. Cameron Revelez had 13. Hunter Brown chipped in 12. Also of note were 9 points from Carter Smith who kept the Bulldogs within striking distance early in the fourth quarter.
The boys from Belfair drop to 4-and-6 on the season, 2-and-4 in the Olympic League. They travel to North Kitsap Thursday.
The Shelton girls’ basketball team rallied from a 20 points down and came within five points of Rochester Tuesday but the Warriors beat the Highclimbers 53 to 42.
Cedar Wiley led Shelton in the loss with 17 points. Jazzy Rivera added 13. The ‘Climbers drop to 2-and-12 on the season, 1-and-5 in the Evergreen Conference. They play at Tumwater Thursday.
