Mason County Public Works will be closing two roads for culvert replacement projects in August. The roads are in different corners of the county: Satsop Cloquallum Road and Bear Creek Dewatto Road.
Both roads will close at 7 AM Monday, August 19, 2024. Both roads are scheduled to reopen at 4 PM Friday, August 30, 2024. During both closures, traffic will be divert to signed detours.
Satsop Cloquallum Road will be closed at milepost 5.2. The length of the signed detour for this closure is nearly 30 miles and will go through Matlock and Lake Nahwatzel. See map below.
Bear Creek Dewatto Road will be closed at milepost 5.29 where two twin culverts have deteriorated. The length of this signed detour is just over 13 miles and sends motorist along Tahuya Black Smith Road, Mountain View Drive, Haven Way, and Belfair Tahuya Road. See map below.
