Losses for SHS & NM Football, NM Soccer
The Shelton football team lost to Prairie Friday 63 to 16 on Senior Night for the Highclimbers.

On the second play of the Falcons’ second possession of the game, Preston Hill went 80 yards to put Prairie on the board first.
The ‘Climbers responded, going 70 yards and taking the lead on a 12-yard TD run by Benjamin Morford and the PAT by Adrian Wier.

Late in the first quarter, the Falcons recovered a Shelton fumble and took back the lead one play later when Alex Blakeslee took a pass from Deven Vigue 46 yards for the score and with a two-point conversion by Hill, Prairie lead 14 to 7.
The Highclimbers’ next drive, which started on the Falcons’ 49 after a 32-yard kickoff return by Bennett Henry, stalled at the four yard line but the ‘Climbers’ Wier kicked a 23-yard field goal to trail 14 to 10 early in the second quarter.
Prairie responded on the next possession, as Vigue scrambled into the end zone from 10 yards out. The Falcons added two more TDs before the end of the first half. Vigue found Riley Burke for a four-yard touchdown catch and Hill took a screen 10 yards for the score. Prairie headed to the locker room with a 34 to 10 lead.
In the third quarter, the Falcons extended their lead to 41 to 10 before Shelton scored their last touchdown. Wyatt Depoe dove into the end zone from three-yards out.

With the score 41 to 16, Prairie scored two more touch downs to go on for their second Greater St. Helen’s League win, improving to 2-and-2 League mark, 4-and-4 overall.
The Highclimbers drop to 1-and-7 on the season, 1-and-3 in the GSHL. Shelton wraps up League play next Friday at second-place Kelso. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will be on hand for that game.
The North Mason football team lost at Olympic Friday 51 to 0. The Bulldogs drop to 4-and-4 on the season, 1-and-4 in the Olympic League. NM wraps up League play next Thursday at home against Sequim.
The North Mason girls’ soccer team was shut out by Bainbridge Friday 6 to 0. The Lady Bulldogs now have a 2-and-11 overall record, 1-and-11 in the Olympic League. NM plays at Olympic Tuesday and wraps up the season at Sequim next Friday.
