No substantial change in the latest results from Tuesday’s General Election.

Incumbent Randy Neatherlin maintains his lead on William “Will” Harris for Mason County Commissioner District 1. Neatherlin now has 55.06% of the vote (16,407 votes) to Harris’ 44.34% (13,211 votes). There are 178 write-ins in this race which accounts for 0.6%.

In the race for Mason County Commissioner District 2 (the seat currently held by Kevin Shutty who did not seek re-election), Pat Tarzwell continues to lead Tom Beben. Tarzwell now has 52.46% (15,259 votes) to Beben’s 47.19% (13,815 votes) with 91 write-in votes.

In the 35th Legislative District:
Incumbent Republican Travis Couture continues to lead Democrat James DeHart for State Representative Position 2. Couture now has 58.09% to DeHart’s 41.83%.
Dan Griffey ran unopposed for State Representative Position 1.

For 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative (the seat currently held by Derek Kilmer who did not seek re-election), Democrat Emily Randall maintained her lead on Republican Drew MacEwen. Randall now has 57.11% to MacEwen’s 42.77%.

Statewide results:

For U.S. Senator, incumbent Democrat Maria Cantwell maintained her lead on Dr. Raul Garcia. Cantwell now has 59.7% to Garcia’s 40.06%.
The next Governor of the State of Washington is Bob Ferguson who leads Dave Reichert 56.15% to 43.66%.
Denny Heck will remain Lt. Governor, currently leading Dan Matthews 56.47% to 43.41%.
In the race for Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs has 59.6% to Dale Whitakers’ 40.31%.
Mike Pellicciotti will remain State Treasurer getting 57.83% to Sharon Hanek’s 42.08%.
Pat McCarthy will remaind State Auditor getting 58.55% to Matt Hawkins’ 41.32%.
The next Attorney General appears to be Nick Brown who continues to lead Pete Serrano now 56.16% to 43.75%.
Dave Upthegrove appears to be the next Commissioner of Public Lands now leading Jaime Herrera Beutler 52.96% to 46.82%.
In the Superintendent of Public Instruction race, Chris Reykdal now has 53.39% of the vote to David Olson’s 46.04%
The next Insurance Commissioner appears to be Patty Kuderer who leads Phil Fortunato now with 57.11% to 42.78%

Initiative 2066 is passing now with 51.34% approval.
Initiative 2109 is failing now with 63.38% voting against the measure.
Initiative 2117 is failing now with 61.76% voting “No”.
Initiative 2124 is also failing now with 55.37% voting against

There is a tight race for Supreme Court Justice Position No. 2. Sal Mungia has overtaken Dave Larson. Mungia has 49.84% of the vote to Larson’s 49.66%. At last count, there were 4,450 votes separating the candidates which is 0.18%.

More ballots will be counted Thursday. More than 780,000 ballot are on hand in Election Offices around the State. Mason County Elections has about 3,000 ballot on hand.
