The Shelton track and field teams beat Black Hills and Centralia Wednesday. The boys’ scores were Highclimbers 107, Wolves 52; Shelton 83, Centralia 81. On the girls’ side, the Lady-‘Climbers beat Black Hills 92 to 60; and knocked off the Tigers 76.5 to 68.5.
Top finishers from Shelton:
Yoel Castellano won the boys’ 100 meters and long jump.
Justice Bloomfield won the boys’ 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.
Bennett Henry won the boys’ javelin.
Benjamin Morford won the boys’ high jump.
Hailee Nadeau won the girls’ 800 meters.
Madison Lohmeyer won the girls’ 3200 meters and was 3rd in the high jump.
Claire Warnock won the girls’ 100-meter hurdles, won the girls’ 300-meter hurdles, and took 3rd in the girls’ 100 meters.
Quinn Neal won the girls’ high jump and placed 3rd in the girls’ 200 meters.
Katelyn Sartori won the girls’ long jump and finished 2nd in the girls’ high jump

Kaleb Jordan finished 2nd in the boys’ 100 meters and 200 meters.
Caleb Hensrude took 2nd in the boys’ 3200 meters.

The Highclimbers compete Tuesday at Tumwater District Stadium against Black Hills and W.F. West.
The North Mason track and field teams beat Kingston Wednesday. The boys’ score was Bulldogs 105, Buccaneers 36. The girls from Belfair won 89 to 51.

North Mason competes in the Easton Hammer and Steeplechase Friday and Saturday at Snohomish Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.
The North Mason baseball team held Bremerton to three hits and won 10 to 0 in five innings Wednesday. The Bulldogs were led by Calvin Rice who was 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and three RBI. Danner Jones batted in t two runs. Skylar McLean was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Boston Stanley, Reid Shumaker, Kingston Serebryakov, and Josiah Ringstad each batted in a run. NM improved to 9-and-6 overall, 5-and-5 in the Olympic League. North Mason plays at Bainbridge Tuesday.
The North Mason fastpitch softball team held Sequim to three hits and beat the Wolves 16 to 2 in five innings on Wednesday. The Bulldogs’ Jenna Markuson was 4 for 4 at the plate with a double and a home run and six RBI. Taylor Madison was 2 for 2 with a double and three RBI (scoring four runs). Kennady Carson had two RBI. Adrianna Crowley, Kylani Ivie, and M Minnis batted in a run each. And Addyson Roy allowed two runs on three hits with four walks and seven striking in five innings in the pitching circle. NM improved to 7-and-4 on the season, 2-and-3 in the Olympic League. North Mason plays at Sequim Thursday.
The Shelton baseball team was held hitless (and only had one base runner – a sixth inning walk by Drew Helser) by Tumwater and lost 13 to 0 in five innings on Wednesday.

The Thunderbirds had 10 hits and 12 RBI including three by Peyton Davis (who hit a two-run home run); three by Braeden Konrad; two by Jimmy Womach, and two by Wyatt Chase. T-Birds’ pitcher Luke Houk went five innings and allowed only one walk while striking out 8. Tumwater improved to 8-and-0 in the Evergreen Conference, 10-and-4 overall.
The Highclimbers drop to 6-and-8 on the season, 5-and-4 in EVCO play. They play at Aberdeen Friday.
A 13-run third inning by Tumwater Wednesday and the Shelton fastpitch softball team lost to the Thunderbirds 25 to3 in the five innings. Hailey Schuffenhauer led the Highclimbers in the loss, going 3 for 3 at the plate. Ada Gouley and Bailey Plant were both 2 for 2. Liv Rasmussen and Aurora Marcy each batted in a run. The ‘Climbers drop to 3-and-10 on the season, 1-and-7 in the Evergreen Conference. Shelton hosts Aberdeen Friday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
