Wins for NM Softball & Soccer; Losses for SHS Soccer & MMK Baseball
The North Mason fastpitch softball team beat Sequim for the second time in two days. Thursday’s score was Bulldogs 8, Wolves 3. Sydnnie Imlay and Jenna Markuson led NM’s offense both going 3 for 5 at the plate, with doubles and home runs. Imlay batted in three runs while Marksuson had two RBI. Kennady Carson and Taylor Madison each had two hits with doubles. Adrianna Crowley hit a double and batted in a run. Madalyn Smith was 1 for 4. Aubrey Dunham got the win in the pitching circle, allowing three earned runs, on eight hits, with one walk and nine strikeouts over seven innings. North Mason improved its overall record to 8-and-4, 3-and-3 in the Olympic League. The Bulldogs host Kingston Monday.
The North Mason boys’ soccer team beat Olympic Thursday 2 to 1. The Bulldogs are now 3-and-9 on the season, 3-and-7 in the Olympic League. NM plays at Bremerton Friday.
The Shelton boys’ soccer team was shut out at Aberdeen Thursday 1 to 0. The Highclimbers are now 3-7=and-1 on the season, 1-and-6 in the Evergreen Conference. Shelton plays at W.F. West Tuesday.
The Mary M. Knight baseball team lost to Lake Quinault Thursday 22 to 4. The Owls are now 1-and-9 on the season. MMK plays at Wishkah Valley Monday.
