Two men target shooting at Belfair Auto Wrecking Yard set off an explosion and started several fires early Monday morning. According to reports, the two men are employees of the wrecking yard in the 11,000 block of Highway 3 near the Mason/Kitsap County Line and were shooting guns about 1:30 AM. One of them accidentally shot a shipping container filled with firework which ignited and exploded setting fire to junk cars and tires at several locations in the wrecking yard. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fires quickly. No injuries have been reported. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has been called in. The two men are reportedly cooperating with investigators.
