High School Sports Report for Wed. 5/21/25

SHS Athlete EVCO MVP; SHS Athletes Made All Conference; MMK Golfer in State

Shelton’s Hailey Schuffenhauer was named Evergreen Conference 2025 Fastpitch Softball Most Valuable Player this week by EVCO coaches. According to a Facebook, post the junior also earned a Gold Glove.
The Highclimbers’ Ada Gouley was named to the Conference’s First Team while Cassandra Tyler made the Second Team.

Two Shelton boys’ soccer players made the Evergreen Conference First Team: Casey Smith and Armando Navarrete.
Santiago Matheus Nicolas was named to the EVCO Second Team.

After the first round of the Class 1B State Girls’ Golf Championships at MeadowWood Golf Course in Liberty Lake, Mary M. Knight’s Maelynn Nygaard shot a 100 and is in 15th place, advancing to the second day of competition. Her tee time is 7:50 AM today (Wed. May 21st).
