[VIDEO] Monday, the Mason County Commission appointed Travis Adams (Mason County Undersheriff) as Interim County Administrator during a special meeting. Adams will fill the administrator position which was held by Mark Neary who left the County Friday to take a position with Grays Harbor PUD. Adams will be Mason County Administrator until someone is hired to permanently fill the position in the coming weeks. Travis Adams’ appointment was unanimous.

However, the approval to post, interview, and hire for the County Administrator position was not unanimous. The motion passed on a two-to-one vote with Commissioner Randy Neathlin voting against the motion saying he believes the position is not necessary.
