A Shelton man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 3 and Pickering Road Tuesday morning.

The Washington State Patrol says the man was in a sedan that failed to yield to a northbound truck when turning from Pickering Road onto southbound State Route 3 about 8 AM. The truck struck the car on the driver’s side. Both vehicles came to rest blocking the southbound lane of SR-3.

The 28-year-old Shelton man driving the sedan was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The 35-year-old Shelton man driving the truck was not injured.

The sedan was totaled while the truck suffered “reportable damage”.
