A toddler was flown to a Seattle hospital Sunday evening after a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 101 in the Skokomish Valley.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a sedan traveling eastbound on Skokomish Valley Road about 6:30 PM failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 101. The car struck a southbound pickup truck that was pulling a utility trailer. The car came to rest in the gore-point to Purdy Cutoff Road while the truck and trailer ended up blocking the right turn lane from northbound 101 to Purdy Cutoff.

A four-year-old girl from Bremerton in the sedan – who was not wearing a seatbelt – was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The other occupants in the car, a 31-year-old Bremerton man (the driver) and a 24-year-old Bremerton woman, were transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old Port Townsend man, was not injured.
