A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 north of Hoodsport injured one person and blocked the highway for nearly two hours.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a southbound sedan struck a northbound pickup truck at milepost 331 about 9:20 AM. The 26-year-old Port Angeles man driving the sedan lost control of the car and struck the truck in the northbound lane. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane, fully blocking the highway for 1 hour and 50 minutes.

A passenger in the pickup truck, a 25-year-old man from Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, transported himself the Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man from Asheville, North Carolina, and the Port Angeles man were not injured.

A press memo indicates that speed was a contributing factor in this cause and the Port Angeles man was driving with a suspended license.

Both vehicles were totaled.
