A hit and run crash in Victor started a fire and blocked Highway 302 early Thursday morning.

The Washington State Patrol says a black car was eastbound on State Route 302 about 2:45 AM. At milepost 3, the car left the roadway and struck a power pole. The pole snapped in half and came to rest in the power lines which caused a fire. The driver of the car fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. The fire grew to about 200 feet in diameter before fire crews extinguished it. The highway was blocked for four hours.

Troopers have released a description of the suspect’s car: black 2007 Toyota Camry four-door. The driver remains unknown at this time. Anyone with information, should contact the Washington State Patrol.
