The candidates running for Shelton City Council will debate the issues Saturday afternoon in Mason PUD 3’s Auditorium.

Presented by the Mason County Republican Party and moderated by Jeff Slakey from KMAS Radio, this debate features the eight candidates running for four seats on the City Council. The candidates are:

  • Kenneth Mobley and Sharon Schirman for Seat 3
  • Holly Cahoon and Eric Onsiko for Seat 4
  • Shaena Garberich and Lyndsay Sapp for Seat 6
  • Daniel Velasco and Miguel Gutierrez for Seat 7

Each race will be featured separately beginning at 3 PM.

On October 9th, the City Council Candidates will face off again during a Candidates’ Forum at Olympic Middle School put on by the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Mason County. That forum is set to start at 6 PM and will also be broadcast by MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.

The Mason County League of Women Voters will be holding their “Speed Dating” with the Candidates on October 10th in the Shelton Civic Center. That event will feature the City Council candidates as well as candidates running for Public Hospital District No. 1 (Mason Health), Shelton School Board and Pioneer School Board.
