[VIDEO] Pilots who have their planes at Shelton’s Sanderson Field say the current phase of Port of Shelton’s runway paving project has many of their planes unable to access the taxiway to get to the runway, so they are unable to take advantage of the current flying conditions. Three of those pilots attended Tuesday’s Port of Shelton Commission meeting to explain even with Port’s staff effort to provide a temporary taxiway.
As of now, the paving contractor is scheduled to pave the taxiway at the end of the month. Port officials will see if they can get that schedule accelerated.
