The Cougars used the passing game to get by the Highclimbers with 247 yards in the air. Capital’s Carter Pennington and Chayton Hatch caught two touchdown passes each.
Shelton’s Bennett Henry caught at 24-yard TD pass from Trevor Gott, Jay-Jay Rhoades had an 11-yard touchdown run and scored a two-point conversion, and Silas Hoff caught a 31-yard TD pass from Ryan Brady.
The Cougars improve to 2-and-1 on the season while the Highclimbers drop to 1-and-2.

North Mason’s football game with Port Angeles was reschedule from Friday night due to unhealthy air quality in Belfair. The game between the Bulldogs and the Roughriders is now 1 PM Saturday.
