Mason Health recognizes Elena Lopez, Patient Access Representative, as September 2025 Employee of the Month.

Mason Health is proud to recognize Elena Lopez, Patient Access Representative at Mason Clinic, as the September 2025 Employee of the Month. A lifelong Shelton resident and Shelton High School graduate, Lopez has dedicated her career to serving her community through compassionate and consistent patient care.
Lopez had an early interest in health care, exploring paths to become a medical assistant and dental hygienist. However, taking her children to Oakland Bay Pediatrics clinic brought her closer to her calling in helping patients navigate their health care experience. A friend working at Oakland Bay Pediatrics urged Lopez to consider Patient Access. Lopez began her journey in health care in 2008 at Mountain View Women’s Health Clinic, later transitioning to Oakland Bay Pediatrics, where she worked as a Registration Specialist.
“I like being in the health care field because I like helping people,” Lopez said. “It’s important for me to work in my community. I’ve always enjoyed being in the medical field and helping out in the community. It was important for me to stay in Shelton because this is where I grew up and all of my immediate family is here and I wanted to stay close to them.”
In 2020, Mason Health opened Mason Clinic, where Lopez continues to make a meaningful impact by checking in patients, verifying insurance, and ensuring they know where to go for their appointments. Her dedication to consistency and care has made her a valued member of the Patient Access team.
“Elena truly represents the Mason Health mission and vision,” her nominator wrote. “She’s always willing to step up, cover shifts, and help when the team is short-staffed. Patients consistently share how kind and helpful she is, often saying she goes above and beyond to make sure they feel supported.”
Lopez’s commitment to Mason Health is deeply rooted in her love for Shelton and her family. Her sister, Susana Lopez, works as a Patient Financial Advocate, and Elena chose to stay in Shelton to remain close to her loved ones. She is a proud mother of four children, ages 13 to 22, and enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, going to the gym, and spending time with her family.
“I like coming to work and doing what I do,” she said. “I love helping people.”
Mason Health congratulates Elena Lopez on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her continued dedication to excellence in patient care.
