Mason County 9-1-1 Launches AI for Non-Emergency Calls

[VIDEO] Mason County’s 9-1-1 center (MACECOM) has started using artificial intelligence (AI) feature to answer non-emergency calls made to 360-426-4441. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC spoke with MACECOM’s Executive Director, Joe Schmit, about the AI which is being called “Eva”:

Eva is not a phone tree and if their is an emergency when you call the non-emergency number (360-426-4441) Eva will transfer the call to a dispatcher.

MACECOM is also moving from its current location in the Shelton Civic Center in downtown Shelton to the Port of Shelton’s Peste Business Park near Sanderson Field. Schmit also talked about how the move is proceeding. Here is the full unedited interview:
