Football Loss for SHS
The Shelton football team came up short in Vancouver Friday falling to Heritage 14 to 6. (Click here to watch MasonWebTV Powered by HCC’s broadcast of the game.)
The Highclimbers and Timberwolves were evenly matched and the difference in the game is a Shelton failed two-point conversion and a late Heritage touchdown on a fourth and goal from the Highclimber 19 yard line.
The ‘Climbers’ score came on a five-yard run by Ira Vanderpool who was stopped just short of the goal line on the conversion attempt.
Shelton is now 1-and-5 on the season, 0-and-1 in 3A Greater St. Helen’s League play. Heritage improved to 5-and-0 on the season 1-and-0 in league play.
The Highclimbers return home to take on Evergreen next Friday.
