SHS District Cross Country Results; Win for SHS Volleyball; Loss for MMK Volleyball

The Shelton cross country teams competed in the Greater St. Helen’s League District 4 Championship at Kelso High School Wednesday. In team scoring, the Lady Highclimbers finished 4th while the ‘Climber boys were 5th.
Top finishers from Shelton:
Hailee Nadeau placed 7th
Addison Aldrich was 8th

Trayson Bartholomew took 9th
Madison Lohmeyer finished 11th
Nathan Vogel was 15th
Ismael Funes Salas placed 26th
Jasmin Bakota was 30th
Robby Valdeman took 31st
Holly Jorgensen finished 34th
Chloe Renecker was 36th.
Silas Baker took 36th


The Shelton volleyball team wrapped up the regular season Wednesday with a 3 to 1 win over Centralia. The Highclimbers finish with a 9-and-8 overall record, 5-and-5 in the Evergreen Conference which puts them in third place and qualifies the Lady-‘Climbers for the Play-In Match for the 2025 District 4 Class 3A Volleyball Tournament. Shelton will play the number four team from the Greater St. Helen’s League on November 11th. That opponent is still to be determined but it appears to be Heritage.


The Mary M. Knight volleyball team finished the regular season with a 3 to 0 loss at Wahkiakum Wednesday. The Owls have an 8-and-8 overall record, 5-and-7 in the Coastal League tied with Ocosta for fourth place. MMK faces the Wildcats Thursday at Oakville High School to determine who will advance to the District 4 Class 1B Volleyball Tournament.
