The latest results from Tuesday’s General Election show leaders increasing their advantage, in some cases, by a handful of votes.

In the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 4, incumbent Eric Onsiko now leads challenger Holly Cahoon by 22 votes (up from 13). That’s 649 votes for Onisko (50.17%) to 617 votes for Cahoon (48.97%) with four write-ins (0.32%).

Incumbent Sharon Schirman now leads challenger Kenneth G. Mobley 54.93% to 44.75% in the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 3. That’s 691 votes for Schirman to 563 votes for Mobley with four write-ins (0.32%).

In the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 6, incumbent Lyndsey Sapp now leads challenger Shaena Barberich 58.83% (706 votes) to 39.92% (479 votes) with 15 write-ins (1.25%).

And incumbent Miguel Gutierrez now leads challenger Daniel Velasco 53.62% (667 votes) to 45.74% (569 votes) with eight write-ins (0.64%) for Council Member No. 7.

In the race for Mason County Public Hospital District 1 (Mason Health) Commissioner Position No. 1, challenger Pam Schlauderaff now leads incumbent Darrin Moody 62.86% to 36.75%. That’s 6,590 votes for Schlauderaff and 3,852 votes for Moody with 41 write-ins (0.39%).

In the contested race for Shelton School Board Director District No. 3, incumbent Matthew Welander now leads challenger Gabriel Mora 59.77% to 39.39%. That’s 2,065 voting for Welander and 1,361 voting for Mora with 29 write-ins (0.84%).

North Mason School District’s renewal of its Educational Programs and Operations Levy is failing now with 51.23% against. That’s 2,036 voting “No” and 1,938 voting “Yes”.

In the Pioneer School District:
Robert Clark now leads Bill Wells for Director Position No. 3. That’s 1,364 voting (59.25%) for Clark and 908 voting (39.44%) voting for Wells with 30 write-ins (1.3%).

Susan (Soosi) Day now leads Michael LD Hill for Director Position No. 5 61.82% to 37.19%. Day has 1,428 votes to Hill’s 859 votes with 23 write-ins (1%).

In the race for Hood Canal School Board Position No. 4, Rebecca Roadman leads Jimmy Harris 928 votes (51.64%) to 861 votes (47.91%) with eight write-ins (0.45%).

Sixteen votes now separate the candidates in the contested race for Mary M. Knight School Board Director Position No. 1. There was a 11-vote difference Tuesday night.) Kayla Mali now has 131 votes (51.98%) while Tracey Ushman has 116 votes (46.03%) with five write-ins (which accounts for 1.98%).

In the contested race for Mason County Fire District No. 13 Commissioner Position No. 1, Brian Core extends his lead on Jesse Ogden now with 78.15% to 21.54%. That’s 254 votes for Core and 70 votes for Ogden with one write-in (0.31%).

Election officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office have more than 2,700 ballots on hand to count. Those ballots will be counted on Friday with results available by 5 PM.
