The latest results from Tuesday’s General Election show a clearer picture for most races with some still close.

In the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 4, incumbent Eric Onisko now leads challenger Holly Cahoon by 27 votes. That’s 897 votes for Onisko (50.54%) to 870 votes for Cahoon (49301%) with eight write-ins (0.45%).

Incumbent Sharon Schirman now leads challenger Kenneth G. Mobley 53.92% to 45.74% in the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 3. That’s 956 votes for Schirman to 811 votes for Mobley with six write-ins (0.34%).

In the race for Shelton City Council Member No. 6, incumbent Lyndsey Sapp now leads challenger Shaena Barberich 58.69% (993 votes) to 39.95% (676 votes) with 29 write-ins (1.36%).

And incumbent Miguel Gutierrez now leads challenger Daniel Velasco 54.61% (954 votes) to 44.76% (782 votes) with 11 write-ins (0.63%) for Council Member No. 7.

In the race for Mason County Public Hospital District 1 (Mason Health) Commissioner Position No. 1, challenger Pam Schlauderaff still leads incumbent Darrin Moody now with 63.12% to 36.41%. That’s 8,293 votes for Schlauderaff and 4,784 votes for Moody with 61 write-ins (0.46%).

In the contested race for Shelton School Board Director District No. 3, incumbent Matthew Welander maintains his lead on challenger Gabriel Mora 57.99% to 41.13%. That’s 2,649 voting for Welander and 1,879 voting for Mora with 40 write-ins (0.88%).

There are 30 votes separating the North Mason School District’s renewal of its Educational Programs and Operations Levy. The levy is failing now with 50.28% against. That’s 2,663 voting “No” and 2,633 voting “Yes”.

In the Pioneer School District:
Robert Clark now leads Bill Wells for Director Position No. 3, 59.28% to 39.61%. That’s 1,709 voting for Clark and 1,142 voting for Wells with 32 write-ins (1.11%).

Susan (Soosi) Day still leads Michael LD Hill for Director Position No. 5, 61.37% to 37.43%. Day has 1,776 votes to Hill’s 1,078 votes with 26 write-ins (0.9%).

In the race for Hood Canal School Board Position No. 4, Rebecca Roadman leads Jimmy Harris 1,083 votes (51.55%) to 1,007 votes (47.93%) with 11 write-ins (0.52%).

In the contested race for Mary M. Knight School Board Director Position No. 1, Kayla Mali is pulling away from Tracey Ushman now with 161 votes (52.79%) while Tracey Ushman now has 137 votes (44.92%) with seven write-ins (which accounts for 2.3%).

In the contested race for Mason County Fire District No. 13 Commissioner Position No. 1, Brian Core still has a commanding lead on Jesse Ogden now with 77.43% to 21.6%. That’s 319 votes for Core and 89 votes for Ogden with four write-in (0.97%).

Election officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office have county 18,153 ballots from this election so far. That make the turnout for this election 37.95%. The next ballot count is scheduled for 5 PM November 24, 2025.
