An Allyn man died at the scene of a two-vehicle collision Wednesday on the Hood Canal Bridge.

The Washington State Patrol says the crash occurred midspan about 5 PM on November 6th. An eastbound pickup truck reportedly attempted to make a U-turn on the bridge, crossed the centerline and was struck by a westbound sedan. The collision fully blocked the bridge.

The passenger in the truck, identified as Antonio E. Mateo Gaspar, 30 of Allyn, was deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old Bremerton woman, and the driver of the sedan, an 83-year-old Port Ludlow man, were both flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
