Win for NM Baseball; NM Track & Field Results

The North Mason baseball team improved to 2-and-0 on the season with a 2 to 1 win at Port Angeles on Thursday. The Bulldogs scored the games first run in the top of the first inning with two outs: Calvin Rice hit a double that drove in Danner Jones. The Roughriders tied the game in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the seventh, NM’s Nathan Shumaker’s sacrifice fly brought in Pauli Calafiore to put the boys from Belfair up. Jones then only allowed a walk in the bottom of the seventh to secure the Olympic League win. North Mason had five hits: the RBI double by Rice, a double by Calafiore, and singles from Dylan Prideaux and Reid Shumaker.
